OUR PROFESSIONALS

The SCOA team is a group of senior professionals with significant organizational experience, directed by Gian Franco Goeta. Each team member has earned an outstanding reputation as a managerial consultant and coach, supported by a strong  background in management.  Their involvement is SCOA is characterized by effective results, high professional standards and continuous improvement of the coaching profession and their own personal development.

Gian Franco GOETA has a philosophy degree from The University of Rome and a Master's Degree from Harvard University in the United States. The founder and the President of SCOA, his experience includes managerial positions in the publishing company Il Saggiatore and Olivetti in the Human Resources Department. He has been lecturer for 15 years at the SDA-Bocconi University in Milan and has earned an outstanding reputation as a management and organizational development consultant. Since 1997, he has focused exclusively on coaching, establishing himself as one of the first professional executive coaches in Italy. He has personally coached more than 300 entrepreneurs and managers, including executives, middle-managers, and senior professionals. His special interests and expertise are in coaching for improved managerial behaviour, relationship building and teamwork within business enterprises, and application of coaching to support change management projects. A member of the Italian Coach Federation, he is the author of several articles and books on management, organizational development and coaching. He is Certified Business Coach (CBC) and Full Member WABC, Worldwide Association of Business Coaches.

Nicola ARTICO is specialized in bringing music and arts into the business environment to promote cooperation, active listening, communication, creativity, motivation and energy flow. For the past seven years, he has been Artistic Director of music events at SYDA FOUNDATION EUROPE. He is a specialist consultant for musical ensembles seeking to improve and renovate orchestral quality by using the “coherent unit” principle. He also provides one-to-one sound therapy sessions aimed at re-equilibrating inner energy levels. He’s currently working on the “Mutant Canvas” project in cooperation with Philippe Daverio, Vittorio Sgarbi and Oliviero Toscani. He works with SCOA within the COACHANGE Business Unit and in the preparation and management of leadership and soft skills programs.

Alessandra AVANZI, has a degree in psychology, with a specialisation in psychotherapy and is a certified transactional analyst; she has been working in professional orientation and training for 10 years, facilitating career access through insertion or re-insertion into the job market of professionals and managers at varying stages of personal or professional evolution. She has worked with both private companies and public administration on the design and implementation of  programs for individuals and groups. In addition to being a self-employed psychologist, having completed the Master in Executive Coaching, she has attained the qualification as a certified Coach and operates in SCOA’s division VALYOU FARM, working in “Quality and Customer Satisfaction” for SCOA services.  

Flaminia BALESTRERI has a law degree from The University of Milan. A highly regarded management trainer and seminar leader, she is also an experienced manager who has run the production department of the Italia1 network and led the Communication and Human Resources Development Department for the publishing house Garzanti Editore. She travelled to India and Tibet to pursue her personal interests in Eastern philosophies, yoga and breathing techniques, and psycho-energetic therapies. She has also studied change processes and behavioural psychology in the United States, where she became certified to teach change methodologies in Italy. She is an experienced SCOA coach after having gained the SCOA certificate of Certified Master in Executive Coaching.

Sergio BALZANI has for many years been a consultant in Organisational Development as a partner in Italian or multinational consulting companies (ODI, specialised in Total Quality Management and Arthur D. Little), his professional sphere of work having being concentrated over the last ten years in the field of support and facilitation of complex organisational change in Italian and multinational companies.   
He is a graduate in Engineering at the Milan Polytechnic and has a Master in Business Administration from the Bocconi University, Milan, where he worked in the SDA section as a lecturer in Quantitative Methods. He is a partner of DiES and is a co-founder of SCOA, where he is Director of the COACHANGE Division.

Trevor BOUTALL is a successful organization and human resources development consultant with over 30 years experience. He is one of the world’s top experts in designing competency systems and the key author of the internationally used British Managerial Standards. In 1983, he founded The Rapid Results College and the Open College, training organizations specializing in human resource development methods and technologies. His managerial experience includes leadership positions in distribution management with Augustus Bamett and BUPA, a leading health insurance company. A graduate of the University of London, he hold  Diplomas in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing and in Management from the Institute of Management. He has written several articles and books, including The Good Manager’s Guide.  Mr. Boutall is the lead professional in charge of SCOA’s certification programs.

Sandra CAMUFFO attended the SCOA Master in Executive Coaching and works in SCOA as a trainer and Executive Coach. After graduating in law, she gained a strong professional managerial experience working for many years in the Human Resources department of a big Italian multinational corporation. She has a deep knowhow on human resources management and development, change management and organizational design. She is Certified Business Coach (CBC) and Full Member WABC, Worldwide Association of Business Coaches.

Alberto CAMURI is a SCOA partner and the Director of the ValYou Farm Business Unit.  A graduate in Economics from The Catholic University of Milan he collected important  experiences as Senior Executive in several US multinationals, including Hay Associates, NCR, AT&T GIS. His career began in the Human Resources Department where he reached the position of H.R. Director. Then he turned to Marketing and Sales. Country Manager in NCR since 1995, he has been Vice President of the Retail Business Unit for Europe, Middle East, Africa. He has been member of the Worldwide Business Leader Council of the NCR Corporation for 12 years, taking part in implementing meaningful organization changes both at national and international levels. He is Certified Business Coach (CBC) and Full Member WABC, Worldwide Association of Business Coaches.

Cesare CATERISANO has a philosophy degree from The University of Venice.  He is a  SCOA partner and highly regarded as trainer, coach to senior managers and executives, and key leader of SCOA’s courses and Master in Executive Coaching Program. His clients include managers and executives in such companies such as ABB, Nordica, Unicredit, Nestlé, Jones Lang Lassalle, Lombardini Distribuzione. He is a Certified Master in SCOA Executive Coaching, Professional Certified Coach in the International Coach Federation and He is Certified Business Coach (CBC) and Full Member WABC, Worldwide Association of Business Coaches.

Roberto ERARIO is a Trainer and an Executive Coach in the ValYou Farm (SCOA division) and is the ‘‘International Partners Manager’’ in developing business abroad for SCOA.  Roberto graduated in Economy with honours and is a certified “Licensed NLP Coach” and “NLP Master Practitioner” by the Society of NLP.  His studies and work took place in Italy, Switzerland, England, Canada and the US. During his career he worked in strategic consultant companies and was the Head of Sales and Training in two international banks. He trained and coached several sales networks of primary credit institutions (i.e. Banca Intesa, Monte dei Paschi di Siena, Banca Generali), medical doctors, managers and professionals, in order to improve their leadership and communication skills.

Guido FARAGGIANA is a SCOA partner and manages SCOA’s Turin office. An engineer with diverse experience as a consultant and as a manager, he was in charge of the  School of Business Administration at the University of Turin for 10 years. His work includes coaching top level executives to manage major organizational change, make professional transitions in their leadership roles, functions and responsibilities, and improve their strategic and organizational planning.  Since 1986, he has been a lecturer in Corporate Policy at the Polytechnic of Turin. He is a Career Management Fellow in the Institute of Career Certification International and He is Certified Business Coach (CBC) and Full Member WABC, Worldwide Association of Business Coaches.

Michela MELCHIORI is a coach, trainer, and organizational development consultant in SCOA. She participated in the Coaching training courses and she is currently involved in the expansion of SCOA's Genoa. With a degree in Work and Corporate Psychology in the last ten years she has gained significant experience in the implementation of organizational development courses for large departments of Public Administration and the private sector nationwide; she integrated diverse tools and methods of approach to optimize and enhance their functioning and potential. She has deepened her knowledge of “organizations” as entities essentially driven by people, which will be the focus of her work in the upcoming years, integrated with the principles of Coaching as a way to help people show their talents and improve their performances. She is Certified Business Coach (CBC) and Full Member WABC, Worldwide Association of Business Coaches.

Renzo PROVEDEL is a graduate in electronic engineering from The University of Turin.  A manager at FIAT, IVECO, ILVA, he has worked at the Director level in the fields of Information Systems, Logistics, Organization Development and Training. He coordinated the implementation of ICT policies, led major change and restructuring efforts in IT, telecommunication, and industrial automation systems. He led the spin-off of telecommunications services and infrastructures, developing one of the most successful and complex private networks in the European manufacturing sector. Currently, he is an entrepreneur in the internet industry, facilitating innovation and development of new businesses in Telecommunications, Logistics, and Consultancy. He works in the associative field for the ICT and sustainable Logistics sectors. He is a co-founder of SCOA, Chairman of SCOA Club and Director of SCOA’S INNOV-ACTION Business Unit where he specializes in innovation and change management.

Giorgio ROMEO is a graduate in engineering from The University of Turin.  He has a business background in marketing, strategy, organization and IT – specializing in organizational consultancy. Experienced project management, business process redesign and change management. He has led several training projects focused on implementing organizational and cultural best practices. As a consultant, he has a special interest in coaching managers to better support these projects and change efforts. A SCOA Master Consultant, he is responsible for “Quality and Customer Satisfaction” and works as a trainer and coach in corporate projects focused on human resource development and strategic and organizational facilitation. He is Certified Business Coach (CBC) and Full Member WABC, Worldwide Association of Business Coaches.

Francesco SOLINAS has completed the SCOA Coaching training courses, is a SCOA trainer and coach and is currently involved in the expansion of the SCOA offices in Genoa. He has a degree in Law, a Master in Public Administration Innovation, has a recognized qualification in Neuro-linguistic Programming and has gained experience in the field of training. He was initially involved in design and coordination of training courses for the development of corporate human capital and has since gained experience as a career development trainer for professionals and managers, focusing on managerial and relational competences. He is Certified Business Coach (CBC) and Full Member WABC, Worldwide Association of Business Coaches.

Federica SETTI is Executive Coach, trainer, and organizational development consultant in SCOA. She has a Degree in Political Sciences and a Master in Business Administration. In the last fifteen years Federica has gained her experience in Human Resource Management and Development both working as a manager in a multinational consultancy company and being for six years HR Development Manager in an Italian firm. She has recognized coaching as one of the most effective leverages for management and personal development and after following SCOA Master in Coaching she has held several individual and group coaching programs with Italian and multinational company as UniCredit Group, Ericsson, Nike, ABB. She is Certified Business Coach (CBC) and Full Member WABC, Worldwide Association of Business Coaches.

Fulvio STEINER after having qualified in Executive Coaching attending the SCOA Master, cooperates with SCOA as a coach and a trainer, focusing in creative techniques and problem solving. With a Business Administration degree from the University of Turin and a specialization in marketing from the LUISS Business School, Fulvio worked 14 years in multinational companies, including FIAT, ALIVAR, L’OREAL, and Groupe CREDIT LYONNAIS as Marketing Manager. He specialized further in Business organization and communication in Paris at the CEDEP/INSEAD and in Vancouver at the University of British Columbia. Since 1994 he operates as a management advisor. He has been coordinator in E.C. Equal transnational project. He is Certified Business Coach (CBC) and Full Member WABC, Worldwide Association of Business Coaches.
