The SCOA team is a group of senior professionals with significant organizational experience, directed by Gian Franco Goeta. Each team member has earned an outstanding reputation as a managerial consultant and coach, supported by a strong background in management. Their involvement in SCOA is characterized by effective results, high professional standards and continuous improvement of the coaching profession and their own personal development.
Gian Franco GOETA is the founder and the President of SCOA. He has a Philosophy degree from the University of Rome and a Master's Degree from Harvard University in the United States. His experience includes managerial positions in the publishing company Il Saggiatore and Olivetti in the Human Resources Department. He has been lecturer for 15 years at the SDA-Bocconi University in Milan and has earned an outstanding reputation as a management and organizational development consultant. Since 1995, he has been focusing exclusively on coaching, establishing himself as one of the first professional executive coaches in Italy. He has personally coached more than 300 entrepreneurs and managers, including executives, middle-managers, and senior professionals. His special interests and expertise are in coaching for improved managerial behaviour, relationship building and teamwork within business enterprises, and application of coaching to support change management or strategic innovation projects. A full member of WABC, Worldwide Association of Business Coaches, he is WABC Certified Business Coach. He is the author of several articles and books on management, organizational development and coaching.
Alessandra AVANZI operates in SCOA and in the VALYOU FARM Division as Executive Coach. Graduate in Psychology, with a specialisation in psychotherapy, she is a certified Transactional analyst. She has been working in professional orientation and training for 10 years, facilitating career transitions through insertion or re-insertion into the job market of professionals and managers at varying stages of personal or professional evolution. She has worked with both private companies and public administration on the design and implementation of programs for individuals and groups professional development.
Sergio BALZANI is a co-founder of SCOA, where he works as Executive Coach, trainer and Director of the COACHANGE Division. He has worked for many years as a consultant in Organisational Development as partner in Italian or multinational consulting companies (ODI, specialised in Total Quality Management and Arthur D. Little). His professional focus has been centred over the last ten years in facilitating complex organisational change in Italian and multinational companies. A graduate in Engineering at the Milan Polytechnic and a Master in Business Administration from the Bocconi University, Milan, he worked at Bocconi Business School as a lecturer in Quantitative Methods.
Trevor BOUTALL cooperates with SCOA as Executive Coach and trainer. He is the lead professional in charge of the SCOA WABC certification programs. Trevor is a successful organization and human resources development consultant with over 30 years experience. He is one of the world’s top experts in designing competency systems and the key author of the internationally used British Managerial Standards. In 1983, he worked with The Rapid Results College and the Open College, training organizations specializing in human resource development methods and technologies. His managerial experience includes leadership positions in distribution management with Augustus Barnett and BUPA, a leading health insurance company. A graduate of the University of London, he hold Diplomas in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing and in Management from the Institute of Management. He has written several articles and books, including the bestseller The Good Manager’s Guide.
Sandra CAMUFFO cooperates with SCOA in the Rome offices as an experienced Executive Coach, trainer and teacher in the SCOA Master in Business and Executive Coaching, after having attended the SCOA Master and having been awarded the WABC Certified Business Coach accreditation. After graduating in Law, she gained a strong professional managerial experience working for many years in the Human Resources department of TELECOM Italia. She has a deep knowhow on human resources management and development, change management and organizational design.
Alberto CAMURI partner SCOA, Director of the ValYou Farm Business Unit and of the International Operations. A graduate in Economics from The Catholic University of Milan he collected important experiences as Senior Executive in several US multinationals, including Hay Associates, NCR, AT&T GIS. His career began in the Human Resources Department where he reached the position of HR Director. Then he turned to Marketing and Sales areas. Country Manager in NCR since 1995, he has been Vice President of the Retail Business Unit for Europe, Middle East, Africa. He has been member of the Worldwide Business Leader Council of the NCR Corporation for 12 years, taking part in implementing meaningful organization changes both at a national and international level. As Executive coach he has assisted important corporate leaders of multinational. He is a full member of WABC, Worldwide Association of Business Coaches and a WABC Certified Master Business Coach (CMBC).
Roberto ERARIO is a trainer and Executive Coach in the SCOA ValYou Farm division and he is the ‘‘International Partners Manager’’ in developing business abroad for SCOA. A graduate in Economy with honours, he is a certified “Licensed NLP Coach” and “NLP Master Practitioner” by the Society of NLP. His studies and working experience took place in Italy, Switzerland, England, Canada and the US. During his career he worked in a strategy consulting firm and was the Head of Sales and Training in two international banks. He trained and coached several sales networks of primary credit institutions (such as Banca Intesa, Monte dei Paschi di Siena, Banca Generali), managers and professionals, in order to improve their leadership and communication skills.
Patrizia FAGNANI works in SCOA as Executive Coach and Tutor of the SCOA Master in Business and Executive Coaching, after having attended the SCOA Master herself. Graduated in Political Sciences, she has developed over twenty years of expertise in marketing in large national and multinational companies such as Nielsen-Cra, Birra Moretti, Heineken, BCG, H3G-3. Her path was marked by a long and strong experience in Unilever, one of the largest consumers products multinationals where she implemented new processes and managed large Business Intelligence projects at European level and globally. In the latest years she developed coach competencies in recognition of the holistic approach of coaching as one of the most effective levers to promote the human capital development and the processes generating change. In the meantime, she has completed courses in NLP an in Focusing achieving the Trainer Level. Patrizia is a Certified Business Coach (CBC) and Affiliate Member of WABC, Worldwide Association of Business Coaches.
Guido FARAGGIANA is a SCOA partner in charge of the SCOA’s Turin office. An engineer with diversified experience as a consultant and as a manager, he was in charge of the School of Business Administration at the University of Turin for 10 years. His expertise include coaching top level executives to manage major organizational change, make professional transitions in their leadership roles, functions and responsibilities, and improve their strategic and organizational competencies. Since 1986 for twenty years he has been a lecturer in Business Policy at the Polytechnic School of the University of Turin. He is Career Management Fellow in the Institute of Career Certification International, a full member of WABC, Worldwide Association of Business Coaches and a WABC Certified Business Coach.
Sidi LAGATTOLLA cooperates with SCOA as Executive Coach and trainer in the Rome offices. Sidi is specialized in Transactional Analysis, Business Coaching and Organizational Behaviour. His expertise includes Interpersonal Communication, Negotiation, Motivation, Time & Stress Management. Sidi has got many years of Managerial experience in both Italian (Fabbri Publishing House, INA Insurance, UNIM, and Pirelli Real Estate) and multinational companies (Goodyear and Allergan). During his career he worked as head of Training, Marketing and Sales and eventually as General Manager. In 2002 he moved to his Management Consulting career, with a significant experience at Studio Ambrosetti Consulting, Il Sole 24 Ore Management School, Luiss Business School, CEIDA Management School. Since 2006 Sidi focused on Business Coaching attending the SCOA Master in Business and Executive Coaching. He is Certified Business Coach (CBC) and Affiliate Member of WABC, Worldwide Association of Business Coaches.
Michela MELCHIORI works in SCOA as Executive coach, trainer and organizational development consultant. She attended in the SCOA Master in Business and Executive Coaching and she is currently involved in the development of the SCOA office in Genoa. Her degree in Organizational Psychology and her consulting engagement enabled her, over the last ten years, to gain significant experience in the implementation of organizational development programs for large departments of the Public Administration and many private corporates nationwide, integrating diverse tools and methods to enhance their functioning. She deepened her understanding of “organizations” as entities essentially driven by people where Coaching is the most effective way to help people to realize their talent and improve their performance. She is a Certified Business Coach (CBC) and a Full Member of WABC, Worldwide Association of Business Coaches.
Marina MELE in SCOA works as Executive Coach and Trainer. Graduate in Sciences of Education, Training and Human Resources Development, she completed a three-year Master in Counseling and Transactional Analysis at the Eric Berne Center, Milan, a two years Master in Business and Executive Coaching at SCOA, Milan. She is a Certified Business Coach (CBC) WABC, Worldwide Association of Business Coaches. Marina has acquired a strong experience in the field of services and sales. She held the role of managing director for Operations (receiving an Award for women's work). The main companies in which she gained her management experience include: General Insurance, Sedgwick (now Marsh), Fondiaria, Meie Assicurazioni Ergo, Munich Re Health, RSA – Royal Sun Alliance. She is particularly focused on the dynamics of work-life balance, as a path of overall and careful development of skills, talents and leadership. She launched a number of people to success in sales. Enneagram teacher and author of Enneagram and Bach Flowers, RED Publishing House, 2009, and Holistic management and Self construction in adulthood, Nuovi Autori publishing house, 2010.
Renzo PROVEDEL is a co-founder of SCOA, where he works as Executive Coach and Director of INNOV-ACTION, a Business Unit specializing in innovation and change management. After graduating in Electronic Engineering at the University of Turin, he accomplished a managerial career at FIAT, IVECO, ILVA, at the Director level in the fields of Information Technology, Logistics, Organization Development and Training. He coordinated the implementation of ICT policies, led major change and restructuring programs in IT, telecommunication, and industrial automation systems. He led the spin-off of telecommunications services and infrastructures, developing one of the most successful and complex private networks in the European manufacturing sector. Currently he is engaged in facilitating innovation and the development of start-ups. Renzo is a Certified Business Coach (CBC) and Full Member of WABC, Worldwide Association of Business Coaches.
Giorgio ROMEO cooperates with SCOA as Executive Coach, trainer and consultant in Change Management. Graduate in Electrotechnical Engineering at the University of Turin, his career went through increasingly higher managerial responsibilities in multinational corporates such as SIA, Società Italiana Avionica, where he worked in UK for 4 years in the Tornado project as SW Engineer and Project Manager; DEA, Digital Electronic Automation, as Marketing Engineer; SESAM, as Director of the Consulting sector; COMAU (FIAT GROUP), as Information Technology Director and Head of Business Process Reengineering. During this period he gained a deep business experience in marketing, strategy, organization and IT, project management and change management, leading several projects aimed at implementing organizational best practices. He moved then to a new career as management consultant, where he developed an increasing vocation in coaching as a fundamental tool to support change. In the last 6 years, after having completed the SCOA Master in Business and Executive Coaching, he joined SCOA as Head of the “Quality and Customer Satisfaction Process”, then he was a teacher in the Master in Business and Executive Coaching, Project Manager and coach in corporate projects focused on leadership development, innovation and organizational change. He is Certified Business Coach (CBC) and Full Member of WABC, Worldwide Association of Business Coaches.
Federica SETTI is Executive Coach, trainer, and organizational development consultant in SCOA. She holds a Degree in Political Sciences and a Master in Business Administration. In the last fifteen years Federica has gaineda deep experience in Human Resource Management and Developent, as a manager in a multinational consulting company and for six years as HR Development Manager in an Italian firm. She has recognized coaching as one of the most effective leverages for management and personal development and after having attended SCOA Master in Business and Executive Coaching, she has driven several individual and group coaching programs with Italian and multinational companies, such as UniCredit Group, Ericsson, Nike, ABB, AIG. She is Certified Business Coach (CBC) and Full Member of WABC, Worldwide Association of Business Coaches.
Francesco SOLINAS works at SCOA as a trainer and Executive Coach and is currently involved in the development of the SCOA office in Genoa. A graduate in Law, a Master in Public Administration Innovation, Francesco has a recognized qualification in Neuro-Linguistic Programming and has gained a deep experience in training. He was initially involved in design and coordination of training courses for the development of corporate human capital and has since gained a deep experience as a career development trainer for professionals and managers, focusing on managerial and relational competencies. He is Certified Business Coach (CBC) and Full Member of WABC, Worldwide Association of Business Coaches.
Fulvio STEINER cooperates with SCOA as Executive Coach and trainer, focusing his job in creativity techniques and problem solving. After gaining a Business Administration degree in the University of Turin and a specialization in marketing at the LUISS Business School, he worked 14 years in multinational companies, such as FIAT, ALIVAR, L’OREAL and CREDIT LYONNAIS. He is specialized further in Business Organization and Communication in Paris at the CEDEP/INSEAD and in Vancouver at the University of British Columbia. Since 1994 he operates as management advisor. He is Certified Business Coach (CBC) and Full Member of WABC, Worldwide Association of Business Coaches.
Elisabetta TESI in SCOA works as a Business and Executive Coach. Graduate in Mathematics, she gained experience in executive positions in both public and private areas. In her twenty years of experience in strategic consulting and human resource development, she was involved in projects of organizational change associated with innovation in Italy and abroad.
She built the foundations of her professional background in Elea S.p.A. where she used - as head of the Engineering Change - the main efficiency-oriented methods of learning and behavioral change in organizational management. In Olivetti she was the head of the Organization area. Partner in charge of Change Management at Ernst & Young Consultants, oversaw the development of models of expertise related to corporate strategy and performance role. In the field of Business Consulting she has been in charge as vice president of Cap Gemini Ernst & Young. In addition to top positions in national associations, she has contributed to the government of her city as a town Councillor for Human Resources Organization and Information Technology of the City of Florence. She was a member of the Scientific Committee of the Istituto Superiore Sant'Anna of Pisa for the Master "Innovation Management", and professor of organization, management of change and new technologies.
